Inhofe rating hits a new high

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., has his highest approval rating in the Oklahoma Poll.

The survey, sponsored by the Tulsa World and KOTV-Channel 6, has been in existence since 1993 and began tracking Inhofe's approval rating in 1996.

Inhofe was elected to the Senate in 1994 after having been elected to the the U.S. House in 1986 following service as Tulsa's mayor and in the state Legislature.

Inhofe annually was ranked below former U.S. Sen. Don Nickles, R-Okla., until Nickles chose not to seek a fifth 6-year term last year.
