Poll: Most believe abortion's an option

Three out of four respondents say it's a medical decision for a woman and her doctor.

A large majority of Oklahomans believes abortion should be legal in at least some circumstances, according to a survey of 752 likely voters conducted April 27-30 for the Tulsa World and KOTV Channel 6 by SoonerPoll.com.

Deciding what those circumstances should be -- and who should make the decision -- is a tougher question to answer.

"I think (abortion) is wrong," said Carrie Rogers of Keys, "but I don't think we should have 100 men sitting at the Capitol talking about what women do with their bodies."
