Third-penny extension has backing, poll shows

Voters appear sold on a $459 million extension of the city's third-penny sales tax but are less than enthusiastic about spending an additional $4.3 million on temporary maintenance hangars for American Airlines, according to the most recent Oklahoma Poll.

Those two measures will be voted on May 9.

The third-penny sales tax extension was favored by 62 percent, with 32 percent opposed and 6 percent undecided.
