Decisions may hurt numbers at fair

A poll shows some people aren't happy with the annexation of Expo Square or with the eviction of Bell's.
Nearly one in four likely Tulsa County voters surveyed in the latest Oklahoma Poll said recent decisions concerning Expo Square may affect their attendance at the Tulsa State Fair.
Conducted July 26-28, the survey of 500 likely Tulsa County voters found 63 percent disagreed with the city of Tulsa's decision to annex Expo Square. Seventy percent opposed the Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority's termination of its contract with Bell's Amusement Park, a move that forced the long-time tenant to dismantle its rides and vacate the premises.
