Inhofe leading in Senate poll

Republican U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe headed into the final week before Tuesday's election with a comfortable margin despite declining support in the state's two metropolitan areas, according to the most recent Oklahoma Poll.

Conducted Oct. 24-26 by SoonerPoll.com of Oklahoma City, the survey of 357 likely voters gave Inhofe 52 percent, which was almost identical to his share of the vote in July.

Democratic challenger Andrew Rice was at 37 percent, up from 30 percent in July, and independent Stephen Wallace stood at 4 percent.

Seven percent were undecided.
