New arena wins high rating in poll
The young and those with higher incomes like it best.
The BOK Center seems to be hitting its target audience - the young, relatively affluent adults that city leaders said the $187 million arena would help metropolitan Tulsa recruit and retain.
After one year of operation, the facility receives generally high marks across all demographic groups in the latest Oklahoma Poll. Forty percent of the 405 Tulsans surveyed by SoonerPoll.com Aug. 29 to Sept. 1 said they have been to the arena at least once, and 75 percent said they have a very favorable or somewhat favorable impression of the arena.
Those under 45 and those in higher household income brackets especially like it.
Almost half of those surveyed in the 25 to 34 age group and two-thirds of those in the 35 to 44 group said they have been to the BOK Center.
And, 79 percent of the 25 to 34s said and 85 percent of the 35 to 44s said they have a very or somewhat favorable impression of the arena.
