Poll finds economy, jobs top concerns

The most recent edition of the Oklahoma Poll found concern about the economy and unemployment at levels unprecedented in the survey's 17-year history.
Fifty-seven percent of those questioned earlier this month named either the economy or unemployment as the state's most pressing problem. It was the highest combined total for the two since the poll began in 1993.
Bill Shapard, president of SoonerPoll.com, which conducted the survey for the Tulsa World, said the two responses reflect different views of the same underlying problem.
